I’m working at the intersection of government and technology as a federal consultant developer. I graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2020 and moved to DC before moving to NYC in 2024.
I have been consulting with various government agencies on projects ranging from full stack web development using the MERN stack to backend Java development. My favorite projects have been full stack web development projects, and I am improving my Python skills through a personal project in my free time.
I’m passionate about being involved in my community. I have volunteered for various events within IBM over the years. Outside of work, I founded an ultimate frisbee team in Washington DC in 2021 called Dissent Ultimate and regularly play in ultimate frisbee leagues.
I create Java methods and testing infrastructure to validate tax forms, create visual representations of tax forms. I have helped assign tasks across the team and onboard new members.
I completely rebuilt the frontend of a website from scratch to display budget data. I created a search bar and sanitized HTML results from ElasticSearch. I created several pages to improve the customer experience.
I created an extract, transfer, load (ETL) and analytics web app to perform analysis of excel data for 1,500 regular users. I used the MongoDB, ExpressJS, React, Node (MERN) stack.
I designed, built, and demoed a frontend to search & filter case information, view case results, and manage profiles
I worked with Angular to improve front-end web features for the client-facing member portal, utilized by 2,000+ members. I used Agile methods including daily scrum stand up meetings, story grooming, and sprint planning.
I answered phone calls, emails, and walk up questions about technology including wifi, Gmail accounts, Outlook, and printing issues from both students and faculty members.
After three years as an RA, I had worked to create a lively community atmosphere for over 150 freshmen residents by designing and implementing programs for the community specializing in academics, civic engagement, intercultural competency, and community building. I empathized with residents’ personal, academic, and career concerns and connect residents with campus resources. I also responded to emergency situations and uphold university policies.
I worked on the Member Performance and Development team and used design thinking methods, learned from the Grand Valley Design Thinking Academy, to ideate solutions to conference room booking and how to prepare the company for the workforce of the next 10 years.
I have mentored various students over the years by meeting with over 18 interns and Accelerate students over the summers to help them with career development. This past year, I took a more active role in the Accelerate program and worked with the team to create assessments to allow students to mark their progress and complete the program.
I founded a new club ultimate frisbee team in the women’s division in Washington, DC. I wanted a developmental team to exist in this division, so I took this from an idea and established the new team. I found co-captains and a coach, ran tryouts, coordinated with other local teams, decided on tournaments, and rostered and orchestrated the development of 30 players over the season.

I have been working on a personal project to display ultimate frisbee club team data over several years with data scraped from the USA Ultimate website. This website is notoriously difficult to navigate, so my website would be a simplified version. I am using Python, Postgres, and React/Typescript. I currently have the data of 2023 women's club teams in my database, and I am working now to build more of the frontend.
